Michelin Guide 2025: Bringing Flowers to the Hungarian State Opera

In 2025, for the second time, we had the honor of creating the floral décor for the prestigious Michelin Gala, held in the iconic Hungarian State Opera House. The venue itself presents a unique challenge: two fixed planters in the reception area meant that our floral installations had to be crafted entirely from ladders. The scale alone was a testament to the ambition of the project.

It is always a remarkable feeling to see our work enhance such a high-profile event. Creating at this scale is not only thrilling but also a great challenge. Every detail matters: selecting the right blooms in size and quantity, harmonizing colors, ensuring the mechanics are flawless, and—most importantly—integrating the installations so seamlessly that they feel as if they have always been part of the space.

This year, we approached the design with sculptural, yet intricate, floral compositions. While the official event colors were gold and black, we proposed an autumnal palette for the October gala, reflecting the seasonal beauty while perfectly complementing the event’s branding colors.

Large-scale installations always challenge us to think differently, work collaboratively, and push the boundaries of what floral design can achieve.
