How do we work abroad- the puglian project Part i.
One of the highlights of last year for me was that project of ours in Puglia, which we brought to life in March 2025 with an amazing international team. The idea came from Zsófi to team up with Aisling, an incredibly resourceful Irish wedding planner living in Italy, to create something visually remarkable for our portfolios. Naturally, I knew I had my place in the team.
The whole concept was to gain experience, have a striking international reference, build connections, so we could confidently take on weddings in the region later on.
Before the event, I went on a random, short site visit to Puglia and it turned out to be the best “me time” I’d had in years. With Aisling, we planned all the visits for one day, so I got the other day only for myself, when I was just wandering around Polignano and Monopoli. It wasn’t my first time there, and it definitely won’t be the last. Truly a wonderful place!
On the next day, we explored seaside locations for one of the photo sessions we planned, visited the local rental company to pick the most beautiful accessories, then headed to Masseria San Giovanni, the main location of the project. The following morning, we even made a trip to the local flower market, where Aisling’s stunning Italian got us through the door. She then took me to the airport, and I flew straight back home.
Once I got back, I prepared the graphics, we ordered the flowers from Gianpaolo, and submitted the rental list to GMC. For the table linens, we sewed together around 100 meters of silver fabric at home, then later packed it into suitcases and took it to Italy along with the bridal gowns.
I’ll be telling the rest of the story in another blog post. In the meantime, if you’d like to see some behind-the-scenes videos, I’ve shared a few on Instagram to show the process in a more personal way. Have a look.
